Bumper Stickers are just $2.85 postage and handling included. Why not buy a bumper sticker today? http://www.savetheguns.com/bumper_stickers.htm ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Thank you very much to the Minuteman Monthly subscribers who decided to become SaveTheGuns.com members in January. I am thrilled at the response. http://www.savetheguns.com/membership.htm ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Gun Safety Tip Of The Month ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire. There is a natural tendency to place the index finger inside the trigger guard. This MUST be avoided. Condition yourself to place your shooting hand index finger along the side of the frame. This gun safety rule is actually one of the three (3) basic rules of safe gun handling. Most accidents involving children under 14, occur because of this natural tendency to place the index finger of the gun hand into the trigger guard and on the trigger. As soon as you believe your children are ready to begin basic gun handling education. Conditioning them to place their index finger alongside the frame and not on the trigger is a key element in making absolutely certain that they are not involved in an accidental shooting. The most important rule for people to remember about safe gun handling of course is the Golden Rule; to always point the barrel in a safe direction. Over 100 children will be buried by grieving parents this year, because they were not sent to my "For Kids Only" page. Why not send a child there today? http://www.savetheguns.com/for_kids_only.htm ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* SaveTheGuns.com Quote Of The Month "Let us contemplate our forefathers and posterity and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude, and perseverance. Let us remember that 'if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.' It is a very serious consideration that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event." Samuel Adams speech, 1771 This quote is especially pertinent when we consider the gun control movement since 1968. We have indeed dealt tamely with lawless attacks on our liberty. As Samuel Adams said, "...if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom..." By treating lawless attacks on our liberty lightly, we encourage the enemies of the Second Amendment. We ourselves are responsible for the continuing attacks upon the Second Amendment. What I am trying to get across here, is the fact that ninety four percent (94%) of America's law-abiding gun owners are not involved in the fight against gun control measures. Of the approximately 75 million gun owners in the United States, a mere handful are involved in the fight. About 94% of America's gun owners are sitting on their hands when it comes to standing up for their rights. Please forward this newsletter to just one of those gun owners this month. And tell them to get with the program. _______________________________________ _______________________________________ Special Message To SaveTheGuns.com Members With your membership, you can have your very own button design made up for free. As I am sure you are aware, most people who support gun control don't have any sound firearm knowledge which they can draw from. Anti-gunners most often have never even spent so much as a single day at the shooting range. We must try harder to get the truth about firearms and gun ownership out to the general public and writing to your local newspapers is a key ingredient in helping to do this. Many of your state newspapers are "online" and gladly accept opinion and editorial submissions through e-mail. Find your state-wide and local newspapers online, just visit the following page, find your state and see if your paper is online. It will save you a stamp. Please insert this entire Web address into your browser's address window. ________________________________________ http://dir.yahoo.com/News_and_Media/Newspapers/By_Region/U_S__States/ ________________________________________ Take time this month to write a pro-gun editorial to one of these following national newspapers too. Might I boldly suggest a topic for your newspaper editorials? How about the fact that murder where a firearm is used is currently at a thirty (30) year low, while 33 states have implemented concealed carry laws and gun ownership in the United States is at an all-time high. Furthermore, murder where a handgun is used is up 87% in England, where it has been totally illegal to own a handgun since 1997. Since then, murder committed with firearms has gone nothing but up. It seems that gun bans create black markets for guns, thereby making them even easier for the criminals to obtain. It is too bad that the law-abiding citizens of Australia and England are learning this too late. Please consider e-mailing an editorial to the following popular newspapers. Please mention SaveTheGuns.com too!!! Let the nation know how you feel.
